Ephedrine is used to relieve congestion due to clods, flu, hay fever, and allergies, and for temporary relief of shortness of breath, chest tightness, and wheezing due to bronchial asthma. Ephedrine may also be used for other conditions as detemined by your doctor.

Do not use Ephedrine if:

. You are taking furazolidone or have taken a monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitor (eg, pheneizine) in the last 14 days
. Yor have severe high pressure, severe heart blood vessel disease, a repid hearthbeat, or severe heat problems
